          SYLVESTER MARSH son of ALPHEUS MARSH and NANCY ANN HAGER of Londonderry, Vermont, was born 10 October 1826 in Londonderry, Vermont. He died 07 October 1899. He is buried in Gribble Cemetery, Gentry County, Missouri near Darlington, Missouri. This Cemetery is also known as Old Regency Cemetery. It used to be on a wagon trail and is now surrounded by fields with one road into it. He married LAVINA SUMMERS 26 February 1850 in Tazewell County, Illinois. He later married her sister MARY JANE SUMMERS 24 May 1855 in Tazewell County, Illinois. He served with the Sante Fe Battalion of Mounted Volunteers, Major R. Walker. He served as a Private and at age 22 enrolled at Weston, Missouri on 11 April 1848. He mustered in 11 April 1848. He was honorably discharged on 23 October 1848 in Independence, Missouri. He is my Great Great Grandfather. My line to Sylvester is my father J.D, his father John Chester, his father Rufus E. and his father is Sylvester. Submitted by: Cathy Marsh Asbury
