          COLSON DEAN JR "JR" was in Battery A of the 3rd Batallion of the U.S. Army which was the headquarters for the 105 Howitzer. JR received his basic training at the Field Artillery Replacement Training Center in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and saw a tour of duty in Korea from 12 January 1952 until 13 October 1953. JR was a Master Sergeant and received additional instructions on the eight-inch M-55 self-propelled howitzer at a specialist's school in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
          After JR's tour ended in
          Korea he was in the Amry Reserves until 1966.
