WALTER MORRIS SMITH, was born September 18, 1934. He was the Son of Herman and Lottie Clendenon Smith in Brighton Alabama. Walter entered the U S Army in 1955 at Birmingham, Alabama and was a " Tanker " stationed at Fort Hood Texas. His rank being Staff Sargent. He was killed at 8:30 p.m. on February 4, 1965 by a DRUNK driver, at Holly Ridge, Louisiana. I was a passenger and I lost my best friend. Submitted by: Cosetta Dowdell
