ROBERT (DE BELLOMONT) "BOSSU" DE BEAUMONT. He inherited all his father's possessions in England. He was firmly loyal to the interests of King Henry I, residing about his court and attending him on all his journeys. He was with the King at the time of his death in 1135. He served for 15 years as the Chief Justiciary of England. In accordance with the custom of the time, some years before his death, he renounced the world and became a monk in the Abby of St.Mary de Pratis in Normandy. He died and was buried there in 1168.
