JAMES PRESTON MELTON IV, son of James Preston Melton III and wife Pamela
Dague Melton, is from Frankfort, KY and descended from the eastern KY pioneer
family of Terry H. Melton. James Preston Melton IV, or Jimmy, as he is called, is
married to Leann Myers and they have three children, Austin, Breann and Emily.
Jimmy is with the newly formed unit known as the Strykers, Second Division, 3rd
Infantry and is scheduled to be rotated back to his base at Fort Lewis,
Washington following his service in Iraq. Prior to volunteering for the US Army, Jimmy
was with the Kentucky National Guard and trained at Fort Benning, GA. He
attended Morehead State University and is a member of Crestwood Baptist Church,
Frankfort, KY. He is my Grandson.
