John was in Desert Storm from August 27 1990- March 24 1991. He was with the 24th Mechanized Unit in Fort Stewart Georgia. He was a tank commander Company C 4/64 Armor. He entered the service January 6th 1978 and retired July 31 2002. He earned many awards and decorations . I am sending you a picture of us. This is the last formal picture we took together in February 2001 at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Valentine Day Ball. He retired as a Master Sgt. (E-8). JOHN was the son of JOAO ALEMAO and CARMINA BRUM. He was born 14 September 1958 on the Island of Pico in the Azores near Portugal and died 02 September 2004.
