He married BERTHA WILLIAMS, daughter of WILLIAM WILLIAMS and LYDIE TURNER. She was born 10 March 1916 in Pineville, Bell County, Kentucky, and died 01 April 1986 in Wallins Creek, Harlan County, Kentucky.
