WILLIAM BURTON “GABBY BURT” HENSLEY son of GEORGE WASHINGTON HENSLEY and RUTH
EDWARDS was born 13 March 1832 in Yancey County, North Carolina, and died 14 March 1906 in
Harlan County, Kentucky. He married (1) LEVINA EARNEST 03 February 1853 in Harlan County,
Kentucky, daughter of WILLIAM EARNEST and NANCY UNKNOWN. She was born 03 February 1835 in
Harlan County, Kentucky. He married (2) JUDAH HENSLEY Bef. 1872, daughter of SAMUEL HENSLEY and
MARTHA TIPTON. She was born 24 May 1854 in Harlan County, Kentucky, and died 15 July 1914 in
Harlan County, Kentucky. He is buried in the Brittain Cemetery, Smith, Harlan County, Kentucky. He is
the elder Brother of my Great Great Grandfather Wilson Hensley.
