SILAS RUSSELL TOMES son of ANDERSON TOMES and NANCY
BAKER was born 22 October 1822 in Grayson County, Kentucky,
and died 29 August 1885. He married LOUISA WOOSLEY Bef.
1855, daughter of THOMAS WOOSLEY and PHOEBE ADAMS. She
was born 18 January 1822 in Grayson County, Kentucky, and died
08 February 1904. They are buried at the Slatebank Cemetery,
Edmonson County, Kentucky. This stone replaced one that was struck by lightning. The old stone spelled Tomes as Toms and Louisa W. (Woosley) was Eliza. The old stone was an obelisk and had an ephitaph. Submitted by: Sherry Tomes
