He married (1) NELLIE VAUGHN 10 February 1923 in Harlan County, Kentucky, daughter of LEWIS VAUGHN and RACHEL THOMAS. She was born 10 December 1898 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, and died 11 March 1995 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He married (2) POLLY TURNER Aft. 1955.
