              JESSE RILEY TAYLOR was the son of WILLIAM TAYLOR who was born 1749 in Virginia and SARAH GARRET FOSTER. He was born 1791 in Wythe County, Virginia, and died 12 March 1862 in Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky. He married NANCY GREEN 09 July 1818 in Ashe County, North Carolina, daughter of WILLIAM GREEN. She was born 1792 in North Carolina. He was drafted in 1812 at Grayson County Courthouse into Captain Saunders 7th regiment of the Virginia militia. Jesse served from August 1812 until February 1813 in Captain John Trimbles Company. It was later taken over by Captain Michael Shivley. He moved to Harlan, Kentucky and received a 200 acre land grant in 1842. It was located on Brownies Creekwaters of the Cumberland River. Jesse Taylor is my Great Great Great Grandfather.
