ROBERT JEFFERS, was the son of THOMAS JEFFERS. He was born about 1785 in North Carolina and died 25 June 1861 in Gratiot, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. He married NANCY TAPP January 1816 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. He enlisted as a Private in the 1st Regiment, (Trotter Jr's) Mounted Kentucky Volunteers. Information is from roll box 110, roll exct 602. Discharged as a Private. He is my 4th Great Grandfather.
