In all instances, to insure that you have the correct pricing for the various DNA tests, please go directly to the company's website that you are interested in using for testing. The prices shown here were current as of the posting date of this page, but the prices shown are just for a quick comparison and may not be correct. If you go to the Family Tree DNA website and or the DNA Heritage website, make sure you log into the Denny/Denney surname project to get your special project pricing.


NOTE: Do not consider a 12-Marker test. They are cheap but will not prove anything in your Y-DNA Testing (other than perhaps who you are NOT related to, and you must have a minimum of 25 markers tested in order to join the Denny DNA project.
We strongly recommend you select the 37 marker test or the new 67-Marker test from Family Tree DNA or the 43 marker test from DNA Heritage as these will help you sort out relationships with more distant cousins. If you want to select a smaller test, use the 25 marker but for DNA Heritage, be sure and select the default 25 markers we have pre-selected on the sign up page. (These are the same default 25 markers that Family Tree DNA uses for their test.)

DNA Heritage and Family Tree DNA both have occasional specials to reduce costs of tests, the project administrators will post notices to the Rootsweb Denney Forum and other media if such specials occur.

In addition, if the project has funds in either of the project funds, there may be some relief on costs for individuals there.
