Notes for Emery Jennings
The first six children were born in Smith Co., the last two in Decatur Co. But at the time when Cliff Tupper and Marie Jennings were married, the Jennings family was living in Riverton. Emery owned a grain elevator somewhere along the way. I think that may have been in Decatur Co. He was living with Marjorie in Fairbury, NE, at the time of his death (from a head injury in a car accident near Norton). Vena says that Emery’s family also lived in Hennessey, OK, for about a year, around 1910 or 1911.

Vena writes that Emery got a splinter in one eye chopping wood when he was 8 or 9 years old, and that he was blind in that eye.
