William Greenville Salisbury Cemetery. This is located behind where the old William Salisbury homestead stood on the left ridge. William and Elizabeth are in a separate cemetery on the right ridge behind the house. This cemetery is an easy climb and beautifully maintained. It is one of the prettiest cemeteries I have ever seen. Others in the cemetery I did not get pictures of:
Our Mother I don't know who she is. The most logical would be a sister of Greenville. He did have a sister, Elizabeth Betts Salisbury who married Jesse Howell in 1847. I do not have a DOD for either of them. I have her born 1830 but 1836 is a possibility. The William Salisbury Stone is incorrect.
He was the son of Richard and Julia Preston Salisbury. This is D. James Salisbury. He married Josephine Akers and had three children, but so far I have not identified them.
There are two stones for Paul Howard Boggs. He was the husband of Gertrude Salisbury who was the daughter of Lewis Link and May Bentley Salisbury. Paul was raised by Joe. W. Lykins and Catherine Salisbury. Catherine was the daughter of Greenville and Rhoda Sizemore Salisbury. He was born May 2, 1917 to unknown and died May 3, 1972 in West Virginia but was brought back to Floyd County for burial.

William Greenville Salisbury
was born 21 August 1825 to William and Elizabeth Walker Salisbury and died 6
June 1906. He married Rhoda 9 May 1846. His father had threatened to
disinherit him if he married "that woman" but he did and it never
happened. They had 10 children, several of whom are buried here with their
children.
Rhoda Sizemore Salisbury was
15 January 1827 to Lewis 'Level' Sizemore and Catherine Gearheart and died 11
Nov 1910.

of this. It says: 
Richard Salisbury was the
third child of Greenville and Rhoda. He was born April 1851 and died
1933. He married Julia Preston in 1879.
Julia Preston Salisbury was
born June 14, 1863 and died December 14, 1937. She was the wife of
Richard, above.
D.J. Salisbury, born June 25,
1882, died July 16, 1913.
Doll Salisbury, daughter of
Richard and Julia Preston Salisbury. She was born January 17, 1884 and
died February 3, 1965. I don't believe she ever married.
Link was the son of
Richard and Julia Preston Salisbury. He married May Bentley. I do not know a lot
about this family group. His full name is Lewis Salisbury and was called Link.
May Bentley was born 1895 and
died 1952. 
Wayne L. Salisbury was the
son of Link and May Bentley Salisbury. He was born June 15, 1912 and died
Sept. 5, 195?. I can't read the full date through the foliage.
Dessie Salisbury Rowe, Feb.
8, 1916 to Sept. 18, 1996. I have not found who she was married to. She
was a daughter of Link and May Bentley Salisbury.
Victor M.A. Rowe, son of
Dessie and Unknown Rowe. He was born June 4, 1917 and died July 20, 1937.
Sidney Rowe born and died Jan
25, 1949. I would guess that he was a grandson of Dessie Salisbury Rowe.
Blaine Salisbury was the son
of Link and May Bentley Salisbury. he was born April 13, 1918 and died
Nov. 23, 1957.
Thomas Salisbury
was the 6th child of Richard and Julia Preston Salisbury. He was born
March 11, 1890 and died Dec. 9, 1971. He married Myrtle Spencer.
Myrtle Spencer was the wife of
Thomas Salisbury. She was born May 4, 1904 and died May 19, 1997.
Roy Estill Salisbury was the
son of Thom and Myrtle Spencer Salisbury. he was born Sept 17, 1920 and
died August 15, 1998.
Morgan Nick Salisbury is the
only child of Morgan 'Squid' and Priscilla Carroll Salisbury buried here.
He was born Feb. 5, 1896 and died Feb 20, 1914. He died in a mining
accident, being electrocuted.
Geneva L. Salisbury was born
July 20, 1926 and died June 15, 1989. At this time I do not know how she
fits into the family.
