The purpose of my site is to serve as an
educational and research portal for myself and those connected to or interested
in our common family heritage and history. In starting this website my family
tree has grown considerably. I have found that by sharing our information and
making it available at a common location, everyone benefits.
I have used numerous sources throughout my
research. I have done my best to obtain permission for use of the information
and believe I have complied in regards to this. The notes section for many
individuals contains reference to places where I obtained some of the
information. Not all sources are listed for various reasons. I in no way wish
to violate anyone’s copyright protections. If you feel your information has
been used unfairly,
please notify me.
I understand the concerns people have for
their privacy and concerns related to identity theft. I hope this will not
preclude you from sharing your information with other family members. I have
done my best to balance the load of making the information available, yet still
restricting access. A public version of the family tree is available at
Rootsweb/Ancestry.com. This version has a filter set to weed out those
individuals that are or maybe still living and only list their names, with no
personal information available. I have setup a restricted, password protected
unedited version of the tree as well. I personally monitor and select who may
access this page. It is limited to only those individuals that have a direct
connection to the family.
If you find information on this site that
pertains to you and would like it removed, please notify me. I have no problems
with removing the information. Please try and be logical in your request. I
have had some people requesting me to remove several generations. My response
is ANCESTORS ARE NOT YOURS EXCLUSIVELY!.
If you have any questions, comments or
concerns, please do not hesitant to voice them.
