For each of these names, there was an obituary in the Milwaukee Journal Newspaper. I have been clipping obituaries for several years and have quite a collection of "extras."
There are three ways you can get a copy of the obituary. First you can email me and I will transcribe the obituary and email it to you. Secondly, you could pull the Microfilm roll of newspaper for that date (if you have access to newspaper microfilm). Lastly, I can photocopy it for you and snail mail a copy to you. Please let me warn you that some of my copies are not all that crisp and some of them are partials only. If you prefer the snail mail way, the cost is $1.00 in advance to cover copying & postage. In your email to me, please put in the subject line "Milwaukee Journal Obituary." I will let you know if the obituary is worth copying before you send your money.
Some obituaries are partials with important information cut off. I can still give you the date of death or a very near approximation.
The name in italics is the maiden name when specifically given. Please note that early years were not always consistent with giving maiden names.
Sometimes an obituary was not run on the date of death, but rather a year or so later as a "In Memoriam," then both dates are given.
Since the SSDI index does not provide death dates prior to 1962, roughly, I am trying to do the older obituaries first. When the old ones are done, I will start listing the newer ones I have as well.
Drop me a line if these dates help anyone, I am curious to know. If anyone has any questions about anything listed, feel free to email me. Due to the amount of spam I get a day, please put on the subject line of all email "Milwaukee Journal Obituary", or else it may get deleted and not read.
