At this time in our research, we are not clear on the connection with Julius' and Carl's families. You might take note that some members of Carl's family has spelled the last name with a "y" at the end while others have an "i". Some of the documentation passed down has both, so it is uncertain at this time of the correct spelling. As with Julius' family, all members spelled the last name ending in a "y".
Some of Julius' children changed their last name to KAYE whereas Carl's changed theirs to KAY.
