100 WILLIAM REID #2, the son of William and Mary Boyd (Brannan) Reid was bom 7 May 1802, Espyville Crawford County, Pa. He mar. Sarah Cline Bennett, dau of Henry and Elinor Thompson (Cline) Bennett of Shenango Township about 1830, in Crawford County. Fourteen children were born of this marriage: WILLIAM HENRY, Matilda, Zenas Pelton, Robert, Mary, Margaret, Sarah Jane,
James P., Nancy E., Emma Josephine, Victoria, John Bennett, Louisa and Nicholson Reid. William #2 died in Saunders County near Ithaca, NE., 26 Jan 1892, (Although several documents indicate 1894, cemetery records show 1892). William and Sarah are buried in Section 1 Row 12: S-N, Tabor Cemetery, (Fremont County), Tabor, IA., which was near the home of their son Zenas Pelton Reid and William's and Sarah's residence in Randolph, IA. William and his wife purchased the lots from William Wilson and his wife Rachel by Warranty Deed the W 1/2 5 Lot 6 Bik 2 filed Nov 29, 1883 for $400 dollars Recorded Bk J Page 420 in Town Lots Bk D 1882-1891. Bk K Page 318 shows a certificate of Purchase from the Sheriff Fremont County, for the same lots Mar 5, 1890. 77/78
164 WILLIAM EDWARD REID, (uncle Bill), born Oct 22, 1865 Waukon, Iowa, and remained a bachelor all his life. William died Dec 27, 1938, in DeWitt, Neb. He is buried in the Scott Street Beatrice Cemetery. His father William Henry Reid specified in his Will that his son William Edward Reid would place a grave stone at the head of his father and mothers grave, a grave stone like that placed at his (William Henry's) grave. The author of this book with the assistance of Willis Deane and Betty Reid found that (Uncle Bill) had placed a similar grave stone at the head of William and Sarah Cline (Bennett) Reid's (100/101) graves in the Tabor, (Fremont County) Iowa cemetery. 120/121
