165 Joshua Andrew Thompson, born1865, son of Joshua and Katherine Thompson, mar. Ella Martha Reid, Mar 5, 1897, Hoag, Neb. Joshua and Ella homesteaded in Cheyenne County, Neb., near Ogallah soon after they were married. They built a sod house, in which their three children were born and lived until 1895 when they moved to Horton, Kansas to farm until 1918, at which time their son Elbert entered the army, during World War I. 155
166 ELLA MARTHA (Reid) THOMPSON, born in 1867 Waukon, Iowa, mar. Joshua Andrew Thompson (No relative to Martin W. Thompson #148), Mar 5, 1897, Hoag, Neb. They lived in Cheyenne County, Neb. near Ogallah, then Horton, Kansas and Sioux Falls, So Dakota. Three children were bom of this marriage: Stella, Elbert Edward, and another son. 169 HARRIET REID, born 1875, Waukon, Iowa; the youngest daughter of William Henry and Catherine (Eells) Reid, never married. She died Jun 11, 1938, at the home of her sister Ella Martha (Reid) and Joshua Andrew Thompson, who were residing with their son Elbert and Madge (Stirton) Thompson. Harriet was a dress designer for a number of years in Marcellus, N.Y., near Syracuse. 120/121
