they lived in Waterbury, New Haven Co., CT at least through 1810. They are listed
on the 1810 census of Salem Society, Waterbury, New Haven Co., CT and had children
born there through 1813. They moved about 1814 to Cortland, Co., NY. Daniel Eells

Co., OH indicate that several of their grown children spouses, and grandchildren
were living with them at that time, including Edward & Anna. They moved to
Crawford Co., Pennsylvania in 1834. The family is listed on the 1840 & 1850
censuses of Greenwood, Crawford Co., PA. The settlement of Daniel EELLS estate

1830 census of Denmark, Ashtabula Co., OH indicate that several of their grown
children spouses, and grandchildren were living with them at that time, including
Lewis & Nancy. They moved from Ohio to Pennsylvania in 1834, and the numbers
indicate they were living in the household of Daniel Eells on the 1840 census
of Greenwood Twp., Crawford Co., PA. The settlement of Daniel Eells estate in
August 1842 lists Lewis as a son of Daniel. I have not been able to find Lewis
and family on the 1850 census at this time. Lewis Eells died in 1853 in Crawford

in Sheffield, Ashtabula Co., OH. I believe Maria moved with her parents from Ohio
to Pennsylvania, and there are persons in the household of Daniel Eells on the
1840 census of Greenwood Twp., Crawford Co. ,PA who are the right ages to be Maria
and her children. The settlement of Daniel Eells estate in August 1842 lists "Maria
intermarried with Orson Hitchcup (sic), now dec'd " as a daughter of Daniel.
At some time between 1840 to 1850 Maria returned to Ohio. Maria remarried William

Crawford Co., PA. Otis, Sarah, and his children from his marriage to Minerva are
listed on the 1850 census of Greenwood, Crawford Co., PA. The 1850 census lists
all of the children of Otis & Minerva as born in Pennsylvania, but this may
be an error. Note on Otis Waite - Warren Reid lists his name as Byron Waite, and
a tree posted on www.Familysearch.com lists his name as Byron Otis Waite. He is

the farm of his brother Edward. Both families are listed on the 1854 state census
of Union Prairie, Allamakee, Iowa. Following the death of Edward, Loren was appointed
Postmaster of Union Prairie in 1859, a position he held until the post office
was discontinued in 1868. The family is listed on the 1860 census of Marion Prairie,
Allamakee Co., IA. Warren Reid's book states that Loren died in Allamakee County,

this time, but the family is listed on the 1860 census of East Fallowfield, Crawford
