Subject: Henry Lamer/Lehmer/Leamer Descendant

Hello. I came across your stuff on I am a descendant of one of your missing pieces. I am in the line of John Leamer b. 17 Apr 1784. His son Henry is my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather. You might have found some difficulty finding him because I believe he changed his name from Lehmer or Leamer to Lamer. I can't prove it, but I do know that his son Samuel was LAMER and that's what my line is. I would love to share some info with you. Could you please mail me back. I'm pretty excited about this genealogy stuff. I started out doing my mother's father and ended up at a dead end and now have more info than I ever dreamed of on my mother's mother-Esther Edna Lamer.

Oh, also, if you get onto, there is anther person out there who has a lot of Lehmer/Leamer/Lamer info. Just search for the names Johannes Wilhelm LEHMER and that should start you out with some coinciding info. He was the first person in my research. Unfortunately though, the site doesn't have my line. I guess my family has been too lazy to do much about it.

Either way, Let me know if you would like to share info.

John Leamer

Birth: Apr. 17, 1784
Death: Jan. 10, 1820
Son of Henry and Christina (Gordon) Leamer. Husband of Elizabeth. First burial in the cemetery. Buried next to his father.

Note: This person was misidentified as J.L. Hier on the 1939 cemetery survey and also in the BCGS list. Birthdate of April 17 (no longer legible) was viewed in 1985, but mistaken for the death date. "J.L." still readable on top as well as the word "Hier" (for Heir ruhet - here lies). "He" also visible, probably originally read 'son of Henry'.
