> I asked Charles about getting a better copy of the oval photos page, but
he seemed to think it wouldn't be possible. I will scan this one and send it
to you ---he identified the people and he is not sure that his identifications
are correct. If I can't do this by myself, I will have to
wait until Dick gets home. Well, I had to send the photo and the accompanying
letter from Charles (to Dick's dad) by HP instant share which is on our printer.
I need to pay attention when Dick explains how to do it via attachment to email.

> I think that Charles is possibly wrong in his identification. He has the
upper left lady identified as Rebecca, but I think the one in the middle on
the bottom looks a lot older and thinner, and is probably Rebecca. That would
make the upper left lady Henrietta Leamer Thompson. He has identified the others
as follows: top middle, Eliza Jane Leamer King; upper right, Elizabeth Rebecca
Leamer Dilling; middle left, Joseph S. L. Leamer; middle right, David Leamer;
lower left, Delila (Delia) Leamer Thomas; and lower right, Martha M. (Mattie)
Leamer Meister.

> I don't know who made up this collage or who may have it now. Maybe Charles
can pursue that, but whoever gave him the copy may not still be alive. It sounds
from the letter as if it was someone from his own family in Polo, MO. I have
a handwritten copy of what I think is Rebecca's obituary and it says she is
survived by eight children. There are only seven here. I don't have death dates
for Sarah Ann or Rachel. I have a "status report" from Charles written
in 1986 in which he says that Sarah Ann Leamer married George W. Langham in
1866, but at that time he had not been able to find Langhams in a census. He
also says that Rachel married George L. Hackett on August 18, 1862 (from the
Benton County Court House marriage record) and the 1870 Federal census showed
them living near Blairstown, IA with children: Harrison Hackett (1866), John
Hackett (1868) and Albert Hackett (1869 or 1870). One of the children must have
died before Rebecca.
>
> Charles also sent a page of tiny proofs, one of which showed Rebecca with
a small child on her lap, probably a grandchild. I don't know whether he has
access to these photos in larger copies, but there are many old photos I would
love to see larger and identify! Since Rebecca has her hair parted in the middle
and pulled back in that photo, I am almost sure that the one in the lower middle
on the collage is Rebecca.
>
> Maybe you have some other photos of these people so you can tell which
is which and we can be more sure on the identification.
