Here's what I know about the immediate family of George M. and Sophia Hahn:

SOPHIA MARIA PFEIFER was born August 16, 1829 (gravestone) in Neusis, Bavaria (obituary), and died January 18, 1888 (census, gravestone and obituary) in Dwight, Livingston Co., Illinois (historical biography, census, obituary).

She married:
1) JOHN CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT (obituary) June 08, 1851 in Oswego, Kendall Co., Illinois (Illinois State Archives Marriage Index), son of JOHN BURKHARDT and MARIA RUF. He was born January 29, 1826 in Bavaria, Germany, and died July 30, 1854 in Grundy Co., Illinois.

She married:
(2) GEORGE MICHAEL HAHN January 31, 1855 in Oswego, Kendall Co., Illinois (Illinois State Archives Marriage Index). He was born January 03, 1823 in Niederoberbach, Mittelfranken, Bavaria (family history documents, census, gravestone, obituary) and died February 04, 1896 (gravestone, obituary) Dwight, Livingston Co., Illinois (census, obituary).

Margaret and Mary were actually biological daughters of Sophia and Christian Burkhardt, but since she was so young when Christian died and Sophia and George married, he raised her as his own and thought of her as his.

iii. GEORGE HAHN, b. 1856.
I have him on another census as Leonard J. -- not sure what the story is here. This is from the 1870 census, I think. I have information from George Hahn's Probate records that he was supposed to have lived in Fargo, North Dakota in about 1896 or so, but I can't find him in the ND census. The probate records also said he had a son.

iv. LOUISA CHRISTINA HAHN, b. 1857

She married:
CONRAD JOHN SIMANTEL on March 11, 1878 in Livingston County, Illinois (Illinois State Archives Marriage Index, obituary of Sophia Hahn). She died December 19, 1879 in Livingston Co., Illinois (gravestone).
