From Joan Schleicher: My Mother -in-law found the obituary of Marie, Sams Mother. She was born on 12-13-1896 and died 8-21-1960. She was not a Schleicher however because her maiden name was Heimbuch and her parents were from Balzer Russia.
She gave me a date that Gottlieb died as 1-10-42 but we do not have his birth date.

> Kari,
> This is what I have figured out from talking to my mom. Joan's husband Roger is Sam's son. Sam is my grandfather's brother. So in that family there is Sam, William, Harry, Ray, Evelyn, Verna, and I think my mom said they had another boy named George, although I am not for sure on him. The two girls in this family, one died as an infant and the other died when she was about 23 from sclerosis of the liver. My grandpa said she got this from drinking to much Coca-Cola. Ray never married. William married my grandmother, don't know the date, but her name is Stella Wieczorek. They had eight children, Carol and Connie(twins), William Jr., Ramona, Daniel, Ronald, Thomas, and Lisa. They now have eighteen grandchildren. I don't know if you want this information or if this is the line that you are interested in, but let me know if it is. I am still looking for our family tree book which appears to have been borrowed or we lost it somewhere, so if you want this information, let me know and I will get the dates to you as soon as I can.
