| Margaret B. Potts | Margaret B. Potts was born about 1845 in KY or
OH. She is listed at age 7, b. KY, with her parents on the 1850 census of
Vernon, Jennings Co., Indiana. (She is listed on all other census records as born

and her mother died in 1878, both in Shelby Co., IL. I have not found Margaret
on the 1880 census at this time. According to the Illinois State marriage index,
Margaret Potts married Jesse Eggelston on December 24, 1882 in Logan Co.,
IL. She would have been about age 37 at that time. There is a Margaret Eggleston,
born January 1845 in Ohio that is married to Moses Eggleston on the 1900
census of Pekin, Tazewell, Illinois that may be this Margaret. This couple married
about 1883, and have son, William, born in August 1885, and also a stepson, Edward
Miller, who was born December 1878 in Illinois. I have not found Edward Miller
on the 1880 census, but there is a Moses Eggleston, right age and birthplace,
living in Logan Co., Illinois in 1880. I have not found Jesse Eggleston on the
1900 or any other census records. Margaret Potts Eggelston died sometime after
1882, possibly in after 1900 Illinois. An Ancestral File on www.familysearch.org
indicates that she died in 1905. Notes for Margaret B. Potts Eggelston

states that Thomas died in November of 1941, but I have not been able to find
him or Annie on the 1930 census at this time. Thomas Reuben Potts died sometime
after 1920, and possibly as late as November 1941 in probably Mills Co., IA. Notes for Thomas Reuben Potts
