saloon keeper. George was killed on Oct. 7, 1914 in his saloon by an injury
the head from a sharp object. He lived for a short while but was unable to identify
his assailant and the guilty person was never found. Katie remarried a widower
named Heinrich "Henry" Fuss on November 1, 1919 in Grand Island.
Henry & Katie are listed on the 1920 census of Washington, Hall Co., NE. Henry
died between 1920 to 1930, and Katie is listed as widowed on the 1930 census
of Grand Island, Hall Co., NE. Katie died on May 02, 1946 in Grand Island,

as Kelly) born on Dec 25, 1912 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. On Jan 18, 1914 she
married Charles W. Northup in Omaha, NE. Charles & Blanche are on the
1920 & 1930 censuses for Lincoln, Lancaster, NE. They are also listed as living
in Lincoln in the 1943 obit of Cyrus Northup, Charles' father. Charles Northup
died on October 7, 1962 in Lincoln, Lancaster, NE. Blanche Schleicher Northup
died on March 22, 1969 in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska. In her obituary it
stated that she had been a resident of Lincoln for 50 years. She and Charles are
both buried at Wyuka Cemetery, in Lincoln, NE. |
