| Charles Northup & Blanche Schleicher | Charles
Wesley Northup married Blanche Dora Schleicher on January 18, 1914 in Omaha, Douglas
Co., NE. At the time of their marriage, Charles was age 21 and Blanche was
age 18. Blanche also already had a son named George Alfred (known as "Kelly")
who had been born in December 12, 1912 - it is unknown if Charles was his father.
Charles raised Kelly from age 1, and he and Blanche had no other children. When
Charles fillled out his WWI Draft card on June 5, 1917, they were living in Lincoln,
NE and he was working as a Teamster for Sullivan Transportation Co. He claimed
exemption to the draft due to supporting a wife and child. The family is listed
on census & City Directory records in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE from 1920-1930,
and both Charles & Blanche lived in Lincoln until they died. Charles was a
fireman on the CB&Q Railroad, and Blanche managed a store that sold ladies
corsets and other garments. Charles Wesley Northup died on October 07, 1962,
and Blanche Dora Schleicher died on March 22, 1969, both in Lincoln, Lancaster

Child of Charles Northup & Blanche Schleicher (probably adopted son of Charles)
| George Alfred "Kelly" Northup | George Alfred (listed
on early records as Alfred George) Northup, known as "Kelly", was born
on December 12, 1912 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. His mother was age 17, and
family story is that she was living at a home for unwed mothers in Omaha when
Kelly was born. Soon after Kelly's first birthday, his mother married Charles
Wesley Northup. Although no documentation exists that he is Kelly's biological
father, Charles Northup raised Kelly, and Kelly's last name is listed as Northup
on all records I have found for him. Kelly took out a delayed birth certificate
when he was older, and at that time he did not provide a birth or baptism certificate.
Instead his mother and three of his Northup aunts swore an affadavit that Charles
Northup was his father, although at a different time Kelly told one of his sons
privately that Charles was not his biological father. Charles raised Kelly from
the time he was age one, and was the only father he knew. Kelly married Evelyn
Pearl TeSelle on August 05, 1931 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. On the state marriage
record Kelly's name is listed as Alfred G. Northrup. Kelly & Evelyn had two
sons, Max & Bob. The family is listed on the 1933 City Directory of Lincoln,
Lancaster Co., NE, under the name Alf G Northup. The marriage only lasted about
three years. Kelly & Evelyn divorced on October 26, 1934 in Lincoln, Lancaster,
NE. On the state divorce record Kelly's name is listed as George A. Northrup.
Both Kelly & Evelyn remarried; Evelyn was remarried to Ostwald J. "Jerry"
Krieck about 1937, and Kelly was remarried to Dora "Dorothy" Aden
on June 12, 1940 in Papillion, NE. Kelly & Dorothy had two daughters,
Sally & Cheryl. The family settled in North Platte, NE where they lived until
they died. George Alfred "Kelly" Northup died on August 16, 1987
in North Platte, Lincoln Co., Nebraska. Dorothy died on October 22, 1999 in
Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska. Kelly & Dorothy are both buried in Wyuka cemetery,
Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska. The Families of George Alfred "Kelly" Northup |
