Subject: More info Samuel Hulstine Family

Hello All,

Kathy I have William's info completed. Will put it in the mail this week.

Hope everyone is going to have a nice holiday. I'm still Christmas shopping but will be done in time. I always wait until the last minute. My mother has been having problems with high blood pressure and my sister Serahmae and I have been doing alot to help her get ready for the Christmas Eve Party. It has been real nice. Most of the time we are so busy that we don't see much of each other until the Party. This year has been special because we are doing everything together.

Here is some new information which I received from Marietta Rogers the other day with regard to Samuel Hulstine and his family. She wrote:

Received some new info today on Samuel, he married Dorinda on June 28, 1868. Their children were: Penelope Jane b. Sep 9, 1871/Amanda Hulstine b. 1868?/Clairborne J. b. August 14, 1874/Ezrah W. Hulstine b. July 16, 1879. It was reported to us that Samuel and Clairborne died when wagon overturned December, 1878, unknown location. The census we have from 1880 shows Amanda 12 and Exrah 1, don't know what happened to Penelope, perhaps she died young? The family moved around alot but the census says the children were all born in Mo., I think I told you the corthouse burned in 1902 so there's not much left of records. Perhaps I can go to Jefferson City one of these days and see if they have some records. It's the capital so maybe I'll luck out. Just wanted to pass this on to you and will keep looking.

Best wishes
