Ollie & her sisters1917 approxPhoto belonged to Betty Belle Dyer Dye. Back of photo says "mother & her sisters". I think the people in the photo are (left to right): Ollie Phillips, Docia Phillips & Hattie Ruth Phillips. Docia & Hattie are Ollie's half-sisters, children of Thomas W. Phillips & his second wife, Sarah Margaret Murrell. Ollie, Docia & Hattie all settled in Kansas. For many years I thought Ollie was the woman in the center of the photo, but after looking at it again with her son, the late Ralph Helsel, I am sure she is the woman on the left. Ralph said he remembers his mother has having a long, narrow face, and Ollie is wearing the same watch on a long chain in several other photos that we are sure are her. I think the two "sisters" are her half sisters because they do no look like any of her other sisters.
Ollie Phillips (& friend?) with her watch necklace1917 approx Ollie Phillips with a friend? Not sure who the other woman is. Shows Ollie wearing the watch on the long necklace that she is wearing in other photos from that time.
