Kelley Jr & Eleanor Harrison were married March 11, 1799 in Greene Co., TN
and they had at least 8 children. No census records exist for Tennessee before
1830, but John Kelly Jr. is listed on 1812 tax records in Greene Co., TN along
with his father John Kelly Sr. John Kelley Jr. died in 1822 in Greene Co.,
TN. Isaiah Harrison (Eleanor's father) probated his will, and there is a
document dated July 22, 1822 that refers to Isaiah Harrison as administrator for
the estate of John Kelly, deceased. Eleanor is listed as head of household on
the 1830 &1840 censuses of Greene Co., TN. Eleanor is listed at age 66 living
with married daughter Cynthia (Mrs. Frederick) Dewitt on the 1850 census of Greene
Co,. TN. She is listed as age 73 and living with married daughter Eliza Ann (Mrs.
Wyley) Kelley on the 1860 census of Division 9, Greene Co., TN. She is living
with Frederick & Cynthia Dewitt at age 87 on the 1870 census of 22nd District,
Greene Co., TN. Eleanor Harrison Kelley died November 12, 1871, probably in
Greene Co., Tennessee. There are varying spellings of Eleanor's name including
Elinor, Eloner, Ellender & Allinden, and I have found at least one source
that indicates that John's name also may have been Sean. Thanks to Neil Long of

| Mary Kelley | Mary Kelley was born on Dec. 11, 1799 in Greene
Co., TN. Her father is listed on tax records in Greene Co., TN in 1812. Mary
married David D. Reynolds on November 16, 1817 in Greene Co., TN, and they
had 8 known children; census records indicate they had 14 children or more. The
family is listed on the 1830 census of Greene Co., TN. Based on birthplaces of
their children, the family moved to Missouri between 1833 to 1838. They are listed
on the 1840 census of Greene Co., MO, on the same page as Thomas
H. Phillips. (Thomas' son Annanias Phillips
later married Delia Ann Kelley, daughter of Mary's brother Alfred.) David &
Mary are listed on the 1850 census of Polk, Greene Co., MO. They are listed on
the 1860 census of Pond Creek, Greene Co., MO, living next door the household
of their married son John S. Reynolds. According to an article at the library
at Springfield, MO, David & Mary's son John S. Reynolds was killed in front
of his family at his home because he voted for Abraham Lincoln. (Lincoln became
president in 1860 and was reelected in 1864) John Reynolds was one of 2 men in
Springfield, MO who voted for Lincoln, and both were killed. David D. Reynolds
died sometime between 1860 to 1870, probably in Greene Co., MO. Mary is listed
on the 1870 census of Pond Creek, Greene Co., MO at age 70, living in the household
of her married son Jesse Reynolds. She is listed as Mary Rendls, age 80, mother-in-law
in the household of Thomas & Nancy (Reynolds) Hagewood on the 1880 census

| Nancy Kelley | Nancy Kelley was born April 23,
1802 in Greene Co., TN. Her father is listed on tax records in Greene Co.,
TN in 1812, and he died there in 1822 when Nancy was age 20. Nancy married Michael
George on Jan 13, 1828 in Greene Co., TN, and they had 7 children. The family
is listed on the 1830 & 1840 censuses of Greene Co., TN. In 1840 they are
listed as living in 7th District. Nancy Kelley George died on October 04, 1844
in Greene Co., TN. Michael is listed with the children on the 1850 census
of 9th Division, Greene Co., TN, and on the 1860 census of 2nd Division (Post
Office Gonley Bridge), Greene Co., TN. Michael was killed in his home on June
1, 1862 under mysterious circumstances, thought to be due to troubled times in
Greene County, Tennessee because of the divided loyalties during the Civil War.

| Jesse Kelley | Jesse Hunter Kelley was born April 15, 1805
in Greenville, Greene Co., TN. His father is listed on tax records in Greene
Co., TN in 1812, and he died there in 1822 when Jesse was age 17. There is a male
the right age group to be Jesse, age 25, in the household of Eleanor Kelly on
the 1830 census of Greene Co., TN. Jesse married Louvina Whittenberg on
January 30, 1832 in Chucky, Greene Co., TN and they had 9 children. They moved
from Tennessee to Missouri about 1838 based on birth places of their children,
and they are listed on the 1840 census of Greene Co., MO. Jesse was the Recorder
of Greene Co., MO in 1848. The family is listed on the 1850,1860 & 1870 censuses
of Cass Twp., Greene Co., MO. They moved from Missouri to Kansas about 1878. They
are listed on the 1880 census of White, Kingman Co., KS. Jesse Hunter Kelley
died March 01, 1890 in Kingman Co., KS. Louvina died on May 22, 1891 in Kingman
Co., KS. They are buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Kingman, KS. Thanks to Neil

| George Kelley | George W. Kelley was born about 1809 in Greene Co.,
TN. His father died in 1822 when George was about age 13. George married Sarah
Killingsworth about 1829 in Greene Co., TN and they had 12 children. The family
is listed on the 1830 census of Greene Co., TN. Based on birth places of their
children, they moved from Tennessee to Missouri about 1837, and they are listed
on the 1840 census of Greene Co., MO. George is listed on a 1849 court record
in Greene Co., MO as being the Sheriff. The family is listed on the 1850 census
of Boone Twp., Greene Co., MO, with George's occupation listed as sheriff. George
W. Kelley died about 1859 in Greene Co., MO. Sarah is listed as head of household
on the 1860 census of Boone Twp., Greene Co., MO, with the youngest child in the

| Alfred Harrison Kelley | Alfred Harrison Kelley was born May
02, 1813 in Greene Co., TN. His father died in 1822 when Alfred was age 9.
There is a only 1 male age 15-19 in the household of Eleanor Kelly on the 1830
census of Greene Co., TN, and I do not know if it is Mathis, age 18, Alfred, age
17 or James Samuel, age 16. (The two not listed may be working as farm labor in
other households that year.) Alfred married Millie Springfield on October
23, 1835 in Greenville, SC and they had 11 children. (Millie's sister Juliette
later married Alfred's brother Harrison in 1843.) Alfred & Millie had a child
born in TN in 1836, but had moved from Tennessee to South Carolina by 1839 when
their next child was born. They are listed on the 1840 census of Greenville District,
SC, along with the household of Harrison Kelly. (There are also households of
Benjamin & Mathew Kelly that I can't indentify at this time.) Based on birthplaces
of their children, Alfred & Millie returned from South Carolina to Tennessee
in 1841, but then moved to Greene Co., Missouri in 1842 to join Alfred's older
brothers Jesse, & George and sister Mary Kelley Reynolds who were already
there. Alfred & Millie settled with their family in Boone Twp., Greene Co.,
MO and stayed there until their deaths. They are listed on the 1850, 1860, 1870
& 1880 censuses of Boone Twp., Greene Co., MO. Alfred Harrison Kelley died
on May 12, 1889 in Boone Twp (Ash Grove), Greene Co., MO. Millie died on May
11, 1891 in Boone Twp. (Ash Grove), Greene Co., MO. Alfred & Millie are buried
in the Kelley Cemetery, located in Sec. 15, T 30N, R24W, by Central Church, 1

| Eliza Ann Kelley | Eliza Ann Kelley was born on May
9, 1817 in Greene Co., TN. Her father died in 1822 when she was age 5. There
is a female the right age group to be Eliza Ann, age 13, in the household of Eleanor
Kelly on the 1830 census of Greene Co., TN. Eliza Ann married Wyley Kelley
on Feb. 24, 1834 and they had 7 children. Wyley & Eliza Ann were first cousins
as their fathers Andrew & John were brothers. Wyley's name is spelled on various
census records as Wyly, Willet & Wesley. Wyley & Eliza Ann are listed
on the 1840 census of 7th District, Greene Co., TN, living next to the household
of Eliza's mother Eleanor. They are listed on the 1850 & 1860 censuses of
Division 9, Greene Co., TN, and in 1860 Eleanor is living with them. Wyley &
Eliza moved from Greene Co. to Cocke Co., TN sometime between 1860 to 1870, and
they are listed on the 1870 census of Parotsville, Cocke Co., .TN. Wyley died
sometime between 1870 to 1880, and Eliza is listed as age 62, widowed on the 1880
census of Parrottsvillel, Cocke Co., TN. I have not found Eliza on the 1900 census

| Harrison Kelley | Harrison Kelley was born on
August 27, 1819 in Greene Co., TN. His father died in 1822 when Harrison was
age 2. Harrison moved from Tennessee to Missouri sometime before 1843. Harrison
married Juliet Springfield on August 8, 1843 in Greene Co. MO, and they
had 10 children. (Juliet's sister Millie had married Harrison's brother Alfred
in 1835.) The family is listed on the 1850, 1860, 1870 & 1880 censuses of
Cass Twp., Greene Co., MO. Harrison was assessor of Greene Co. MO in 1860. Harrison
Kelley died on May 11, 1900 in Ash Grove, Greene Co., MO. Juliet died on July
19, 1907 in Greene Co,. MO | |
| Cynthia Kelley | Cynthia Jane Kelley was born about 1822
in Greene Co., TN. Her name is also spelled Cinthia on some records. Her father
died in 1822, either shortly after, or possibly even before she was born. There
is a female the right age group to be Cynthia, age 8, in the household of Eleanor
Kelly on the 1830 census of Greene Co., TN. There is a female the right age group
to be Cynthia, age 18, in the household of Eleanor Kelly on the 1840 census of
7th District, Greene Co., TN. Cynthia married Frederick Dewitt on October
29, 1840 in Greene Co., TN and they had at least one daughter named Mary. Frederick
& Cynthia are listed on the 1850 census of 9th Division E District, Greene
Co., TN. At that time Cynthia's mother Eleanor was living with them. She is not
listed with them on the 1860 census, but she is living with them at age 87 on
the 1870 census of District 22, Greene Co., TN. In 1850 Frederick is listed as
a Blacksmith, and in 1870 he is listed as a Minister of the Gospel. Frederick
& Cynthia are listed on the 1880 census of District 22, Greene Co., TN with
Frederick's occupation listed as Farmer. Frederick died on July 29, 1894 in Greene
Co., TN. I have not found Cynthia on the 1900 census at this time. Cynthia
Jane Kelley Dewitt died sometime after 1880 and probably before 1900 in Greene
