in Randolph Co., IL. Her parents moved from Illinois to Missouri when she
was about age 1. She is listed with her parents at age 2 on the 1880 census of
Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. Her father died in August 1894 when she was age
16. She is listed at age 22 with her mother and siblings on the 1900 census of
Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. At that time her occupation was listed as waiter
& cook in a restaurant. Amanda married Theopolis Wesley Hogue on June
2, 1906 in Lawrence Co., MO, and they had one son named Donald Wesley. The family
is listed on the 1910, 1920 & 1930 censuses of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO.
Amanda Elizabeth Dyer Hogue died on March 6, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co.,

| Rosa Dyer | Marilla Rosetta "Rosa" Dyer was born on
October 1879 in Randolph Co., IL. Her parents moved from Illinois to Missouri
either soon before she was born or shortly after. She is listed with her parents
at age 9 months on the 1880 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. Her father
died in August 1894 when she was age 14. She is listed at age 20 with her mother
and siblings on the 1900 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. At that time
her occupation was listed as House Girl. Marilla Rosetta "Rosa" Dyer
died on April 03, 1905 in Lawrence Co., MO. She was age 25 at the time of

21, 1881 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. Her father died in August 1894
when she was age 13. She is listed at age 18, with her mother and siblings on
the 1900 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. Ida is listed as the head of
household, living with her sister Dora on the 1910 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence
Co., MO. At that time she was age 28, single, occupation Telephone Operator. Sarah
Ida Dyer died on July 15, 1918 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. She was age
36 at the time of her death, and was listed as single on her death certificate.
Cause of death was congestive chill, with contributory nervous exhaustion. She
is listed as being a Merchantress, News-stand. Ida is buried in the Old Mt. Vernon

| Edward Dyer | Louis "Edward" Dyer was born on September
8, 1883 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. His father died in August 1894 when
he was age 9. Edward is listed with his mother and siblings on the 1900 &
1910 censuses of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. In 1900 his occupation is listed
as Cigar Maker, and in 1910 it is listed as Merchant Feed Store. Edward married
Cora Forrester on December 3, 1914 in Marionville, Lawrence, Missouri,
and they had two sons. The family is listed on the 1920 & 1930 censuses of
Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. In 1920 his occupation is listed as None, and in
1930 it is listed as Real Estate Agent. Edward moved at some time between 1930
to 1936 to Kansas City, MO. He is listed as living there when his brother Bolton
died in 1936. He returned to Lawrence Co., MO sometime between 1936 to 1939. Louis
"Edward" Dyer died on May 2, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., Missouri.

| David Dyer | Gideon David Dyer was born on October 11, 1885
in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. His father died in August 1894 when he was
age 8. David is listed with his mother and siblings on the 1900 & 1910 censuses
of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. In 1910 his occupation was listed as Salesman
Grocery Store. He is listed in the household of his sister Dora along with his
brother Samuel on the 1920 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. At that time
he was age 33, single, with occupation listed as None. Gideon David Dyer died
on April 24, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. He was age 39, and as far
as I know he never married. He is buried in the Old Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.

| Samuel J. Dyer | Samuel J. Dyer was born on February 18, 1888
in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. His father died in August 1894 when he was
age 6. Samuel is listed with his mother and siblings on the 1900 & 1910 censuses
of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO; in 1910 he is listed as age 22 and a Salesman
in a Grocery Store. Samuel served in World War I as a Private in Missouri Co.
C 161 depot Brigade. He is listed in the household of his sister Dora along with
his brother David on the 1920 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. At that
time he was listed as age 29, single, with occupation listed as Produce Manager.
Samuel is listed as living in Mt. Vernon in the April 1925 obit of his brother
David. He is listed in the household of his sister Dora along with his brother
Bolton on the 1930 census of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO; at that time he was
age 38, single, with occupation Attendant Filling Station. Samuel J. Dyer died
on December 31, 1960 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. At the time of his death
he was age 72. I do not know if he ever married. He is buried in the Old Mt. Vernon

| Joseph Dyer | Joseph Denny Dyer was born November 13, 1890 in
Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. His father died in August 1894 when he was about
age 3. He is listed at Joseph Dyer, Ward, age 9, in the household of Henry &
Mary Boxmeyer on the 1900 census of Friestatt Twp., Lawrence Co., MO. He is listed
as Joe Dyer, adopted child on the 1910 census of Friestatt in the household of
Henry Backmeyer. He is listed on probate documents for his sister Ida in 1918
as Joe Bachmeier. Joseph married Laura Rahmoeller on October 16, 1913 in
Hoberg, Lawerence, Missouri, and they had at least one son. He is is listed as
Joe Beckemeyer with his wife and son on the 1920 census of Friestatt Twp. Lawrence
Co., MO. In his brother David Dyer's obituary in April 1925, Joe is listed as
being a surviving sibling and living in Mt. Vernon, MO. He is listed as Joe Backsmeyer,
age 39, with his wife and son on the 1930 census of Friestatt Twp., Lawrence Co.,
MO. He is listed as a farmer on the 1920 & as a farmer, truck farm, on the
1930 census. Joseph Denny Dyer Backsmeyer died on May 12, 1953 in rural Lawrence
Co., MO, 11 miles SW of Mt. Vernon. His parents are listed on his death certificate
as being Henry Backsmeyer & Louise Meyer. The informant was his wife, Laura
Backsmeyer. Joseph's death certificate states that he died from myocarditis, but
also that he had Feltus' syndrom with rheumatoid arthritis for over 10 years.
He is buried in the Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Lawrence Co., Missouri. Laura Rahmoeller

| Dora Dyer | Dora Dyer was born on January 1893 in Mt. Vernon,
Lawrence Co., MO. Her father died in August 1894 when she was about age 1-1/2.
Dora, known as "Dodo" to her friends, is listed in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence
Co., MO on the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses. Her occupation is listed as
Telephone Operator in 1910 & 1920, and as Bookkeeper, milk condenser in 1930.
Dora never married as far as I know. She lived with her mother in 1900 & 1910
and was head of household and living with some of her bachelor brothers in 1920
& 1930. Dora Dyer died in 1960 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. She
is buried Old Mt. Vernon City Cemetery. The house where she lived is now the site

| Bolton B. Dyer Jr. | Bolton Biggert Dyer, Jr. was born on March
6, 1895 in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. He was named for his father, who
had died in August 1894 before his birth. Bolton is listed with his mother and
siblings on the 1900, 1910 censuses of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence Co., MO. When he filled
out his WWI Draft Registration card on June 5, 1917 he was living in Mt. Vernon,
Lawrence, Missouri and working as an Abstractor for J. M. McPherson. At that time
he was age 22, medium height and build, with auburn hair and brown eyes. I have
not found him at this time on the 1920 census, but he is listed as living in Marble
Falls, TX in the 1925 obit of his brother David. At some point between 1925 to
1930 he returned to Missouri, and he is listed on the 1930 census of Mt. Vernon,
Lawrence Co., MO in the household of his sister Dora. Bolton was engaged for several
years to Mary Helen Smith of Mt. Vernon, but he died before they were married.
Bolton Biggert Dyer Jr died on January 7, 1936 in Lawrence Co., MO. He
