Sept 10, 1834 - Amelia, Elizabeth & Rachel were examined apart from their husbands and declared that they freely and willingly consented to above deed.

This indenture
made this 22nd day of February eighteen hundred and thirty six between Joshua
Hinton and Matilda his wife, late Matilda Vantreese of the one part of the County
of Fleming and State of Kentucky. Witnesseth That the said Hinton and wife for
and in consideration of the sum of ninety dollars to him in hand paid the receipt
where of is hereby acknowledged, hath granted barganed and hereby releases and
conveys unto the said Fredrick Vantreese, his heirs and assigns all that tract
or parcel of land situate and being in the County of Fleming on the waters of
Mill Creek being this undivided interest the said Matilda Hinton, late Matilda
Vantreese, in that tract of land belonging to her Father, Frederick Vantreese
deceased conveyed to him by deed bearing the date 24th September 1803 from Peter
Hysong and wife containing 63 1/2 acres recorded in the office of the Fleming
Count Clerk in Deed Book no. 2 page 370. To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed
and the assutenances there unto belongingunto the said Hinton & wife for themselves
their heirs& hereby agree to warrant and defend the said tract of land and
promises unto the said Vantreese his heirs and assigns against the Claim or claims
of all and every person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof the said Joshua
Hinton and Vantreese, his wife hereunto set their hands and seal the day and date
first written.

Elijah Lamar and Kesiah Vantreese Lamar, with Eli Hinton
and Lucinda Vantreese Hinton, enter into a land indenture contract with Lawrence
Dye. Lamars receive $ 400 and Hintons $ 350 to assign Lawrence Dye and his heirs
"undivided interest" in the tract of land owned and possessed by Frederick
Vantrees "supposed to contain 157 acres" including portion of the said
estate of Frederick Vantrees which may be allotted to the widow of said Vantreese
(and would revert to Keziah and Lucinda as part of widows dower at her death.
Also included in the disposition is
"their share or portion of the slaves
of the estate of said Frederick Vantreese, dec'd" as well as any personal
interest following the widow's death.
