The Children of Kenneth Dye & Jane Vanderbeck

1)Peter DyePeter Dye was born on April 11, 1782 in South Amboy, Middlesex Co., NJ. His parents emigrated from New Jersey to Mason Co., KY between 1788 to 1793, when he was 6 to 11 years old. Peter married his first cousin Abigail Dye on April 20, 1805 in Mason Co., KY. At the time of their marriage, Abigail had an illigitemate daughter from a previous relationship named Eliza. Peter & Abigail had at least 4 sons, and early census records indicate they may have had one more son and also another daughter whose names I have not discovered at this time. The family is listed on the 1810 & 1820 censuses of Fleming Co., KY, which is next to Mason Co., KY. Peter is listed as an heir in the will of his father's will that was dated March 15, 1817. Peter died in 1822 & Abigail died in 1825. At the time of Abigail's death, the children ranged in age from 3 to 18. Child of Abigail Dye & Unknown is: Eliza (1803). Children of Peter & Abigail Dye are: Lawrence (1807), Unknown Son (1810-1820), Unknown Daughter (1810-1820), Kenneth (1812), Nehemiah (1816) & John (1818).

2)William DyeWilliam Dye was born on April 11, 1784 in South Amboy, Middlesex Co., NJ. His parents emigrated from New Jersey to Mason Co., KY between 1788 to 1793, when he was 4 to 9 years old. William married Charlotte Wells Shotwell Wood on February 02, 1805 in Mason Co., KY. Charlotte was the widow of Abraham Wood; she was also the sister of John Shotwell & Nathan Shotwell who married two of William's sisters. I do not know the names of any children of William & Charlotte. There are two households on the 1810 census of Mason Co., KY headed by William Dye that are in the right age range - one has 2 daughters, and the other has 4 sons and 3 daughters. As William & Charlotte had only been married 5 years, I think the household with 2 children is the most likely, unless Charlotte had children from her previous marriage to Abraham Wood. William is listed as an heir in his father's will that was dated March 15, 1817. I do not have any records for him after that. William Dye died sometime after 1817, probably in Mason Co., KY but that is not for sure.
