| Peter Smith Wandel & Sarah Van Clief | Peter Wandel married
Sarah Van Clief in March 1789 in Staten Island, NY and they had 5 children.
I have not been able to find them on the 1790 census at this time. I think they
are listed in the household of Sarah's widowed mother "Patty" (Martha)
Van Clief on the 1800 census of Southfield, Richmond Co., NY, and that Patty is
also living with them in 1810. Peter & his family are listed on the 1810,
1820, 1830, 1840 & 1850 censuses of Richmond Co., NY; in 1810 & 1830 they
are listed in the town of Southfield and in 1820, 1840 & 1850 they are listed
in the town of Castleton. Sarah died on January 4, 1857 in Staten Island, NY,
and Peter died a few months later. Peter Smith Wandel died on April 17, 1857
