Thorn were married about 1878, probably in Crawford Co., PA, and they had 5 children.
They are living in Crawford Co., PA in 1880. A grandson, Harry Foust, told
me that Benjamin & Maryette moved up to Saginaw, Michigan, and Benjamin died
of an illness shortly after they got there. Benjamin Foust died in 1895 according
to this tombstone, and he is buried in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio with Marietta.
In 1900 Marietta is living in Cleveland, OH, and by 1906 she had moved to Ashtabula,
OH, where she lived until at least 1920. In later years she lived with her daughter
Cora. She was called "Aunt Mate" by her sister Sarah Jane's children.
Marietta Thorn Foust died December 28, 1927 in Cleveland, OH at her daughter
Cora's house. She is buried with Benjamin in the Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland,

| William L. Foust | William Lawrence Foust was born March 1879, probably
in Crawford Co., PA where his parents were living in 1880. His father died
about 1889 when William was about age 10. He is listed with his widowed mother
on the 1900 census of Cleveland Twp., Cuyahoga Co., OH; at that time he is listed
as being age 21 and an invalid. He moved with his mother from Cuyahoga to Ashtabula
Co., OH sometime between 1900-1906 when his mother is listed on an estate record
as living there. William Lawrence Foust died on September 1, 1909 in Ashtabula,
Ashtabula Co., Ohio. He is listed on Ohio Death Records. His mother is listed
on the 1910 census of Ashtabula, Ashtabula Co., OH, with 5 births and 4 surviving

 | Cora M. Foust | Cora M. Foust was born Oct.
1881 in PA. Her middle name may have been Maryette. Her father died about
1889 when she was about age 8. Cora is living with her mother & siblings in
Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH in 1900, and also with her mother in Ashtabula, Ashtabula
Co., OH, in 1910. She married Louis Dhen about 1912 in Ashtabula, OH. Louis was
killed in a train accident in 1916, leaving Cora a widow with 3 small children,
one of whom also died before 1920. Cora is listed with 2 children & her mother
on the 1920 census of Ashtabula. Cora remarried Charles Mason Brown about 1920
- he was also a widower with 3 children. Charles & Cora are listed on the
1930 census of Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH. Charles Brown died in 1940 and Cora
did not remarry. Cora M. Foust Dhen Brown died November 1965 in OH. Percy

 | Jessie J. Foust | Jesse J. Foust was born April 1884 in
PA or OH. Harry Foust thought this photo was of Jesse, but he was not positive;
it was taken in Clarksburg, WV which is where his brother Raymond lived in 1920
& 1930. Jesse's father died about 1889 when he was about age 5. He is listed
at age 16 with his mother & siblings on the 1900 census of Cleveland Twp.,
Cuyahoga Co., OH. Jesse married Emily Wehrberger in 1909 and they had one daughter
named Ruth. The family is listed on the 1910 census of Ashtabula Twp., Ashtabula
Co., OH, living next door to the household of Jesse's mother Maryette. Jesse
died suddenly on March 4, 1915 in Cuyahoga, OH. Emily & Ruth are listed
on the 1920 census of Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH, living in the household of
Emily's widowed mother, Julia Wehrberger. Emily was remarried to James Davidson
sometime between 1920-1930. The family is listed on the 1930 census of Cleveland,
Cuyahoga Co., OH. Emily died in Cleveland on October 28, 1938. Ruth never married,
and she also died in Cleveland on January 1, 1988. She was an artist. |
 | Raymond Foust | Raymond Ralph Foust was born on September
23, 1886 in Conneaut Lake, PA. Raymond's father died about 1889 when he was
about age 3. He is listed at age 13 with his mother & siblings on the 1900
census of Cleveland Twp., Cuyahoga Co., OH. Raymond married Caroline Ada Heasley
about 1909, and they had one daughter named Violet. They are listed on the 1910
census of Oil City, Venango Co., PA, living in the household of Ada's parents
John & Minnie Heasley. Raymond moved with his family between 1910 to 1917
from Pennsylvania to West Virginia. When he filled out his WWI Draft card in September
1917, he was working at a Glass company in Clarksburg, Harrison Co., WV. At that
time he was age 30, medium height, medium build, with grey eyes & light hair.
Raymond & family are listed on the 1920 census of Clarksburg, Harrison Co.,
WV. Raymond is still listed as married on the 1930 census of Clarksburg, Harrison
Co., WV, but Ida & Violet are not listed with him that year. Raymond was
killed in a car accident about 1955 just south of Ashtabula, OH. He had been
coming to Ashtabula for a visit, and was killed either on his way there or on
his way home. |
 | Fayette William Foust | Fayette William Foust was born November
27, 1889 in Conneautville, PA. Fayette's father died about 1889 when he was
a baby or possibly before he was born. He is listed at age 10 with his mother
& siblings on the 1900 census of Cleveland Twp., Cuyahoga Co., OH. Fayette
moved with his mother to Ashtabula Co., OH sometime between 1900 to 1906. He is
listed with her on the 1910 census of Ashtabula Twp, Ashtabula Co., OH. Fayette
filled out his WWI draft card on June 5, 1917 in Ashtabula, Ohio. At that time
he was age 27, medium height, medium build, with blue eyes & brown hair. His
occupation was automobile merchant with ? station, proprietor. Fayette married
Florence Casbourne on December 31, 1918 in Astabula, OH, and they had 3 children.
The family is listed on the 1920 & 1930 censuses of Ashtabula, Ashtabula Co.,
OH. Fayette had an Auto Garage in Ashtabula Co., OH. Fayette W. Foust died
in June 1983. |
