Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Gulbrand & Kari had 7 children. Gulbrand
Endresen Lunde died on March 13, 1862 in Guttebraaten, Lunde, Ådal, Buskerud,
Norway. Kari emigrated to the USA to join some of her children who were there,
and she died in the USA about 1865. All of the children in this family (with the
possible exception of Kirsti) had emigrated from Norway to America by 1870. Some
of the descendants from this line who emigrated to the USA used the last name

on the Oimoen or Guttebraaten farm, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. He was baptised
on January 23, 1813 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Endre married
Marit Hansdatter Gravli on October 18, 1840
at the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway and they had 8 children, all born
between 1841-1849 on the Hvalsie/Granum farm in Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. The
family emigrated from Norway to America in 1852, arriving in Quebec and traveling
by canal boat to Wisconsin, where they settled for a few years before moving to
Minnesota. Endre was one of the first permanent settlers of Hayward, Freeborn
Co., MN, along with Peder Lunde & Else Gravli.
(Else Gravli was the first cousin of Endre's wife Marit Hansdatter Gravli.) The
family is listed on the 1857 state census of Twp 102, Freeborn, Minnesota. They
are on the 1860, 1870 & 1880 censuses of Hayward, Freeborn Co., MN, with Endre's
occupation listed as Farmer. Endre Gulbrandson died on March 27, 1886 in Hayward,
Freeborn Co., MN. Marit died on February 21, 1898 in Hayward, Freeborn Co.,

 | Amund Gulbrandsen Lunde | Amund Gulbrandsen Lunde was born on April 19, 1816 in Guttebraaten, Lunde, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. He was baptised on April 22, 1816 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Amund married Sigrid "Sarah" Ostensdatter Strommen in on July 27, 1842 in Sor Aurdal, Oppland, Norway. They had 4 children, all born between 1843-1851 on the Nilsebraatan farm, Sor Aurdal, Oppland, Norway. (Sarah was also born on this farm.) Amund emigrated with his family to America in 1852, probably traveling with his brother Endre. The family is listed on the 1860 & 1870 censuses of Wilmington (Post Office Spring Grove), Houston Co., MN. Sarah died in 1875, and Amund was married second in 1877 to Antonette Wilhelmsatter Seirstadeje, who was the oldest sister of his grandson's wife. (At the time of this marriage, Amund was age 61 and Antonette was age 30.) Amund & Antonette had one more daughter. They are listed on the 1880 & 1900 census of Wilmington Twp, Houston Co., MN. Amund Gulbrandson Lunde died in 1906 in Wilmington, Houston Co., MN. Antonette is listed as widowed and head of household on the 1910 census of Wilmington Twp, Houston Co., MN. Amund was the grandfather of Pastor Amund Lunde of Great Falls, Montana. Pastor Lunde baptised all of the children of Percy Brees & Cornelia Lunde. |
| Ole Gulbrandsen Lunde | Ole Gulbrandsen Lunde Guttebraaten was born on October 9, 1818 in Guttebraaten, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. He was baptised on October 31, 1818 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Ole never married. He was listed as having the occupation "Fiskegarnsbinder" on the 1865 census of Norway. He emigrated to America before 1880, and is listed as age 61 and single in the household of his brother Nels on the 1880 census of Hayward, Freeborn Co., MN. (His oldest brother Endre was one of the first permanent settlers of Hayward.) Ole Gulbrandsen Lunde Guttebraaten died in 1892, probably in Freeborn Co., MN. |

| Maria Gulbrandsdatter Lunde | Maria Gulbrandsdatter Lunde was
born on October 12, 1823 in Guttebraaten, Aadal, Buskerud, Norway. She was
baptised on October 26, 1823 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Maria
married John Dammen on October 20, 1850 at the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud,
Norway, and they had 10 children. The family emigrated from Norway to America
in 1870. They are listed on the 1880, 1900 & 1910 censuses of Hayward, Freeborn
Co., MN, with John's occupation listed as Farmer. In 1910 both John & Maria
were age 86. I do not find either of them on the 1920 census at this time. Maria
Gulbrandsdatter Lunde Dammen died after 1910, probably before 1920 in Hayward,

She was baptised on March 19, 1826 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Kirsti married Alf Toresen Lerberg on November 18, 1851 at the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Kirsti died on December 3, 1873, either in Norway or the USA. |

31, 1828 in Guttebraaten, Aadal, Buskerud, Norway. He was baptised on June
3, 1821 in the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway. Nels married Guri Endersdatter
Aasetbraaten on July 20, 1851 at the Viker Church, Aadalen, Buskerud, Norway,
and they had 6 children. The family emigrated from Norway to America in June 1866.
They lived in Iowa Co., Wisconsin for three years, then moved in 1869 to Minnesota.
They are listed on the 1870 census of Hayward, Freeborn Co., MN, next to the family
of Nels' older brother Endre and also Peder Lunde.
At that time Nels' occupation was listed as Farm Laborer. Nels is listed with
his family on the 1880 & 1900 censuses of Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., MN, occupation
Farmer. Nels Gulbrandson died on December 06, 1909 in Hayward, Freeborn Co.,
MN. Guri died on March 10, 1920 in Hayward, Freeborn Co., MN. Nels & Guri
are both buried in the Hayward Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hayward, Freeborn Co.,
