They later homesteaded near Rugby, ND, and the family moved to Great Falls, Montana by 1892. (Lena's brother, Marcus Anderson, was a policeman in Great Falls at the time, eventually becoming Chief of Police.) Gilbert & Lena are listed with their family on the 1900 & 1910 censuses of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. In 1900 & 1910 Gilbert was working in a Grocery Store. Lena died April 4, 1918 in Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT, and Gilbert is listed at single, age 59, with his sons on the 1920 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Gilbert is listed at widowed, age 70 in the household of his married son Calmer on the 1930 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. He was known as "Grandpa Moe" to the children of Percy & Cornelia Brees, and their daughter Atlanta has early childhood memories of him giving her sugar lumps and nickels, and says that he was a very kind man. Gilbert Fredericksen Moe died on June 15, 1933 in Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Gilbert & Lena are both buried in the Highland Cemetery, Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT.

Einar MoeEinar Alfred Moe was born on December 28, 1885 in Traill Co., North Dakota. His parents homesteaded near Rugby ND after his birth, and then moved to Great Falls, Montana by October 1892. Einar is listed at age 14 with his parents on the 1900 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., Montana. Einar moved as a young man to Spokane, Washington, where he met and married Sarah Williamson about 1909, and they had 2 children. They are listed as "Lodgers" on the 1910 census of Spokane, WA under the names Emar Omoe & Sarah Williamson. At that time Einar's occupation was Clerk, and Sarah's was Waitress, and they had been married 1 year. According to birthplaces of their children, they were in Washington in 1910 & 1912, but they moved from Washington to Montana sometime between 1912 to 1918. When Einar registered for the WWI Draft on September 12, 1918, they were living in his father's house at 1614 7th Ave. N, Great Falls, MT (His mother Lena had died 5 months earlier). At that time he was age 33, tall, with a medium build, blue eyes & dark hair. His occupation was Laborer, Rolling Mill. Einar is listed with his family on the 1920 & 1930 censuses of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT in the household of his father Gilbert, In 1920, Einar's occupation is listed as Foreman, Mill, and in 1930 it is listed as Laborer, Wire Mill. Einar Alfred Moe died on November 19, 1933 in Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Sarah died in 1974. Einar & Sarah are buried in New Highland Cemetery in Cascade Co., MT. is buried under the name E. A. Moe Einar's son Harold William Moe played professional football in 1933 for the Chicago Cardinals, and later was a football & track coach at Oregon State college and also was head football coach at Portland University. He was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1982.

Calmer MoeCalmer Fred Moe was born on October 28, 1892 in Montana. His middle name is listed as Fred on his WWI Draft Card, but it was probably Fredrick. He is listed with his parents on the 1900 (age 7) & 1910 (age 17) censuses of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Calmer registered for the WWI draft on June 5, 1917, and at that time he was 24 years old with occupation Pressman, Tribune Printing Co., Great Falls, MT. He was living with his parents, and he was tall, medium build, with blue eyes and blonde hair. His mother died April 4, 1918, and Calmer is listed at age 27 with his father on the 1920 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Calmer married Atlanta Nickolina Lunde on September 14, 1921, and they had one son named Richard who was born in 1922 in MT. Atlanta was the daughter of Ole P. Lunde & Ingeborg Viker. Atlanta & Calmer were third cousins, as their g-grandmothers (Kari & Barbro Hval) were sisters. Atlanta was killed in a train-car accident on September 12, 1923. Calmer remarried Gladys Jergensen about 1929, and they had two daughters named Carol & Donna. Richard Moe was killed in a car accident at age 18 on December 29, 1940. Calmer Moe died on November 27, 1982 in Cascade Co., MT.

He was age 21, tall, medium build, with blue eyes and light colored hair. Harold is listed at age 21 with his father on the 1920 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Harold married Theresa Ann Neuner about 1922. They are listed on the 1930 census of Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. At that time Harold was working as a laborer in a smelter, and Theresa was working as a cook at a cafe. Theresa died on February 20, 1968 in Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Harold Dewey Moe died January 2, 1976 in Great Falls, Cascade Co., MT. Harold & Theresa are both buried in the New Highland Cemetery, Cascade Co., MT.
