I am Gilbert
Fredericksen Moe's great granddaughter, Carol Moe Lesch, and I found your webpage.
Actually my mom and I see Carol Moe Fitzpatrick from Great Falls MT when she visits
Oregon. She previously gave me some information that I think she and her sister
got from you. I have been researching my family and have some information that
I've collected. Maybe it's something you don't need, but I'll send a few facts
that weren't on your webpage just in case
Gilbert Moe married Lena Bye (Karoline
Amalie Andresdatter, born in Øsfold) in Portland, ND 1/1/1885 according
to Lena's obituary. Lena died April 4, 1918 in Great Falls. Gilbert had emigrated
in 1880 to Albert Lea,MN, then to ND where he met and married Lena. He farmed
in Traill Co then homesteaded near Rugby, ND before moving to Great Falls, Montana.
Lena's brother, Marcus Anderson, was a policeman in Great Falls at the time, eventually
becoming a Chief of Police.
Einar Moe, my grandfather, was born on December
27, 1885 in Traill Co, ND.
As a young man, Einar moved to Spokane, WA where
he met and married my grandmother, Sarah Williamson. My father Harold William
Moe was born there on March 28, 1910. Einar also worked in Wallace ID before returning
to Great Falls.
Einar Moe did die in 1933 as you thought, November 19. Einar
and Sarah's daughter, Dorothy, was born in Great Falls, July 11, 1911 and died
there November 3, 2001.
My father who coached football at Univ of Portland
and Oregon State and later track at OSU died May 26, 2001 in Corvallis, OR. (He
played professional football in 1933 for the Chicago Cardinals and was inducted
into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1982)
Maybe I could contact you sometime;
you probably have more information than I do about the Fredriksen side since I'm
fairly new at this.
I really enjoyed your webpage.

Gilbert
June 15, 1933. Sad, both father and son died the same year. I have death certificates
of Gilbert, Lena, Einar, Harold D. and his wife Theresa if you ever want copies.
Also Dad's birth certificate. He was born in Spokane, WA. (the 1920 does say he
was born in MT. A mistake. I hadn't noticed).
Gilbert and Lena were in the
1885 Census, Norman Township, Traill Co, ND. Then I couldn't find them again until
Great Falls, MT census of 1900, 1910, 1920 (Gilbert w/sons), 1930 (Gilbert with
Calmer).
I found Einar Omoe and Sarah Williamson as lodgers with one child
on West Third Avenue in Spokane, WA, 1910. Wish I could find a record of their
marriage if there is one.
I better get on the move too. I will figure out how
to send some pictures to you. I have the same Gilbert Moe one that you do. I copied
the one of Gunhild with her children from your website so I could put it in my
book. I did find a record of their boat trip from Kristiana to Hull but don't
know which boat yet that they took from Liverpool. Always more to find.
Carol
