Subject: Daniel Brees - 2nd. Wife Rhoda Tedrow Gunn
> Kari ~
> This is off the top of my head: Rhoda Tedro's first husband was George Washingtojn Gunn. This couple had 2 sons: George Washington Gunn, Jr. and William Henry Gunn. Geo. W. Gunn enlisted in the Union Army OVI (Ohio Volunteer Infantry) and was killed in battle during the Civil War. She married Daniel Brees - who was a widower with a number of children. This couple had one son - Lewis Eugene Brees.
> Daniel died of TB in Oct. 1891 and is buried in Ottokee Cemetery, Fulton Co., Ohio.
> Lewis Eugene Brees married Martha Elizabeth Collins - this couple were the parents of 2 children: Mary Jane Elizabeth Brees and George Sullivan Brees. Mary Jane was born in Ohio and died of Tb in Sedro-Woolley, Skagit Co., WA at the age of 17. Lewis, his wife and baby, and mother Rhoda came West to prove up a land claim in Washington Territory - Lewis returned to Ohio in 1891 and died there of TB at the age of 23. George S. Brees, my grandfather, was born 3 months posthumous to his father's death.
