The picture was taken at the studio of William Alexaner Emerick, (Pioneer Photographer). William conducted a photographic studio at Choteau for 45 years, retiring the year of 1954. During his time in Choteau, the veteran photographer recorded the passing scene, photographically, with a craftsman's finesee. Robert Emerick has recently completed a narrative about William, named "The Life and Times of William Alexander Emerick, Pioneer Photographer"
