	Elias Brees	1860	Percy's g-grandfather. Elias Brees was born in 1775 and died in 1863. I am guessing on the date in this photo. To see a copy of the photo before repair and in it's original frame, click here.
	Lawrence Thorn	1868 approx	Percy's grandfather, Lawrence Thorn. He was born in 1808, died in 1884. I am guessing he is about age 60 in this photo. Lawrence was the father of Sarah Jane Thorn Brees. 	John & Mary Ann (Moore) Brees	1870 approx	Percy's grandparents. Scan is of a xerox of the original.
	Solomon Brees	1870	Percy's father. This is the earliest photo I have seen of Solomon E. Brees. I am guessing he is about age 31.
	John Brees & Ernest Moody	1877 approx	Percy's grandfather John Brees & another of John's grandsons, Ernest Moody. Ernest was the child of John's daughter Minnie, who died in 1877. John & Mary Ann Brees raised Ernest after Minnie's death, and he is listed with them on the 1880 census. Scan is of a xerox of the original photo. John was Percy's grandfather.
	Solomon & Sarah Jane Brees English Grove MN	1890 approx	Percy's parents. Guessing Solomon age 51, Sarah Jane age 48. They lived in English Grove, Douglas Co., MN from 1878 to 1901 when they moved near Grey Eagle, Todd Co., MN. Solomon & Sarah Jane are both buried in Douglas Co., near their farm at English Grove. The census lists their post office as Orange Twp., but Solomon & Sarah Jane referred to it as English Grove. They moved to Grey Eagle when Percy was age 13.

	Solomon & Sarah Jane Brees & 3 sons	1906 approx	Taken at house in Grey Eagle, MN. Sons L-R are Clyde, Arthur and Claude. Photo probably taken by Percy Brees, who had an interest in photography from an early age.

	Percy Brees & Cora Foust	1908 approx	Percy age 20 and Cora age 27? Cora was Percy's first cousin, daughter of Sarah Jane's younger sister Maryette, who Percy called "Aunt Mate". Percy said that Cora was his favorite cousin and Mate was his favorite aunt. Cora lived in Ohio, but came to visit her cousins in MN sometimes.

	Solomon & Sarah Jane Brees	1910 approx	Guessing Solomon age 71 and Sarah Jane age 68. Solomon was known as "Sol" and Sarah Jane was known as "Jennie". Could have been taken earlier. Open for suggestions.
	Sarah Jane Thorn Brees	1910 approx	In big oval frame with matching one of Solomon Brees. Solomon died in 1921 at age 82. Sarah Jane died the next year.

	Percy at Dutton, MT	1914 approx	Percy went to MT in 1913 - he rode a boxcar out from MN to help "Grandpa" McLain, who was moving from MN to MT. Percy worked at St. Anthony's Lumber Yard in Dutton, not sure what years, but before his marriage to Cornelia in 1917.
