Sis and Elly Farmer's home was located within a few feet of the spot where Thomas Keeble's cabin had been, in the community of present-day Walland. Nothing remains of Thomas' cabin but the pile of stones from the chimney. Keeble's Chapel and Cemetery are nearby. Dorothy Gredig Dockter, as a child made many visits to Sis and Elly's home. She always remarked how the pine flooring was scrubbed until it was white. In the back room a pine coffin rested on two saw horses and the black dress was nearby for the time when it would be needed.
