INFORMATION FROM BURKETT-GREEN-WOODROME BOOK by Mina Mae Woodrome (Page 54): James Corbett Boyle and his three sons had a string quartet. They played on the radio before WWII. Boyle has been singing with a quartet many years. The quartet sang at the funeral of a woman who died when her son was born. Sixty-five years later they sang at the son's funeral. At both services they sang "There Will Be No Good-byes in Heaven". Boyle plays the organ and still sings. Their three sons were in WWII at the same time. Beulah, J.C. and their son, Vernon, moved from Burkett to Coleman on January 1, 1962. |
