Captain Jonathan Knight's Cattle Brand
Captain Jonathan Knight (1781-1852) registered his cattle brand in Glynn County, Georgia on June 3, 1803, Deed Book E-75, page 221. In the mid 1800's the Knight family settled in Middleburg, Florida by Black Creek where their cattle was branded with the Knight cattle brand.
This cattle brand was the original iron brand of Jonathan Knight. Notice how the J is merged with the K to form his initials JK.
