SARASOTA, FLA. - Arthur A. Knight, 77, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Marblehead and Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008. He was born and raised in Mansfield, the son of the late Martin R. and Grace E. Knight. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan of Sarasota, and two daughters, Cathy Goodwin of Sarasota and Diane Knight of Wakefield. He was the proud grandfather of Steve, Brian and Sherilyn Goodwin, all of Sarasota, and Christopher Goodwin of Groveland; and great-granddaughter, Leiah Goodwin of Sarasota. He also leaves his sisters, Priscilla White of Mansfield and Connie Titus of Norton, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Evelyn Sharpe, Edith Masse and M. Joseph Knight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a former longtime member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club, and a talented woodcrafter. Services will be private.
