President Sullivan County Historical Society
He was my great grand uncle in law, and with that comes an interesting story. His first wife was Mary Elizabeth Wiest, my grandmothers sister. Elizabeth and Menzo had two sons, Guy and Tunis . Elizabeth died during the birth of Tunis . My grandmother Delilah Catherine Wiest then married Menzo and raised his boys, and had 3 more children with him. Jay Issac, Burr (who died shortly after birth), and Edith Delilah. Menzo died April 4 1901 and my grandmother remarried my grandfather William Decker and they went on to have 5 more children.
