OBITUARY: Francis Adams
Angelica, May 3 – Francis Adams died at his home in Almond, April 25, 1919. He was born in York,  Livingston Co., on April 6th, 1858 (1836) and was married to Lucinda Knight, September 14. 1858. He was a veteran of the Civil War and after he was in a hospital for a long time he was given the position of cook for General U. S. Grant. He was converted while young and acted as deacon of the Baptist church of West Almond and Almond nearly all his life. He is survived by his wife Lucinda and a sister and four children. Mrs. A. H. Potter and Mrs. C. C. Champlin of Alfred, W. C. Adams of West Almond and W.H. Adams of Hornell. Funeral services were held at his home in Almond and he was laid to rest I Hope Cemetery.

OBITUARY: The Nunda News
Nunda, Livingston County, N.Y., Friday, November 14, 1924
Mrs. Francis Adams, the last member of the family of Caleb and Cylinda Knight, died at her home in Almond, October 24th. Mrs. Adams was born at West Almond, where she spent the early part of her life. From West Almond she came to Nunda where she resided for about fifteen years, later going to Almond where she made her home for the past thirty years. Early in life Mrs. Adams became identified with the Baptist church of which she was always a faithful member. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Potter of Almond and Mrs. Luna Champlin of Alfred; two sons, W. C. Adams of Arkport and Wh. H. Adams of Hornell, also seven grand children and three great-grand-children.
