Hi Bill--
All I know about his WW II service is that he was in the army infantry, in England and France, that he learned to march while asleep, and that it put him off meatloaf for the rest of his life.  I don't even know his rank at the end of the war. He didn't like talking about it much -- he was very young, and I'm sure that parts of it must have been very grim. I'll ask him about his unit though.

Mrs. Sanders died of Pneumonia, the result, apparently, of a severe cold caught on a chilly day, when she was returning with her husband from Aleppo, where they had thought of taking up their permanent home. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller, of Aintab, thus wrote of her: “She was one of the most widely loved and useful of our whole mission; was active and earnest to the last, and her loss will be keenly felt by the native women. It was touching to see their grief at the funeral.” (See Missionary Herald, April, 1888.)
