During the electric storm of last Monday lightning struck the house of Wm. F. Knight and tore the plastering off of six rooms, spoilt two chimneys and tore off the shingles on the roof for quite a space. It also damaged the cellar wall but no one was injured. During the same storm Mr. Knight had five lambs and four sheep killed in his pasture under a pine tree. Lightning split the tree in twain and the sheep were found dead under it.

Miss Mary E. Knight, who has been an invalid with spinal and other troubles for some time, is slowly improving in health and strength and is able to walk out some. Her many friends hope that she may fully recover, for she has been a long and patient sufferer. It seems to bad to see a young lady of her age (22 years) so afflicted. She has borne if with Christian fortitude and now feels quite hopeful of regaining her health once more.
